     ECO

The Guesthouse has created an eco management plan.

Goyambokka View Guesthouse maintains friendly practices to have a smaller environmental footprint and low impact on the village.

I even make my own cleaning products.

Let me show you how.

I grow vegetables, fruit and herbs in season, supplemented from our own Tangalle fresh fruit and vegetable market which specialises in local farm and home grown produce. Even the rice is locally grown.

Let me take you there.

Our local Tangalle Fishing Port provides freshly caught seafood daily, whatever is in season.

Let me show you.

All food brought in has low carbon miles being grown and caught locally, then delivered by  tuk tuk.

I encourage birds in the garden with a feeder. They are our natural frontline in pest control.

The guesthouse is built of mud gathered from a nearby jungle to provide a natural form of insulation.

All lighting is low wattage LED lights.

Listen to the frogs at night - they tell you how healthy their home is.
